Solid construction
The GW-5000U-1 case is made of stainless steel wrapped in high-strength resin, forming a shock-resistant structure, ideal for withstanding extreme impacts. The screw-down case back is made of stainless steel with a DLC (Diamond-Like Carbon) coating, which ensures greater wear resistance and a sophisticated mirror finish – an exclusive detail on top-of-the-line models. The soft urethane resin strap provides comfort even during prolonged use.
Multi-Band 6 and Tough Solar Technology
At the heart of this G-Shock is the Multi-Band 6 system, which automatically synchronizes with atomic clocks in up to six locations around the world (including Germany, Japan, the US, the UK and China), ensuring absolute accuracy. Powered by solar energy (Tough Solar), the watch charges from any light source, with a battery life of up to 22 months in power-saving mode.
Advanced functions and everyday usability
In addition to its durability and precision, the GW-5000U-1 is full of features: world time with 31 time zones, 1/100th of a second stopwatch, countdown timer, 5 daily alarms, full automatic calendar up to 2099, automatic LED lighting with adjustable brightness, as well as silent mode, power saving function and charge level indicator.
